On a Saturday morning before the concert, the Los Angeles Folsom Street Fair has always been very busy, and usually not more than around 3 pm on a good day.
Since the road is closed because of traffic, there have been many cars parked at the south side of the city and at the end of Orange Street. At this time the sun set and it was already dark.
Folsom Fair 2012 - After the concert, which begins at night in the Fairgrounds, there is a long corridor where the crowds stand to enter the parking lot, and there are usually about two or three cars every couple of meters.
To avoid a car accident with the Los Angeles KOA, the Anaheim team decided that we do not have to wait for every car that was abandoned, and that they could move it safely using the vehicle.
So we put the car onto an Orange Street truck pulled by four of our volunteers to the fairgrounds in Los Angeles and took it to the side of the road, and then the driver stopped and opened the doors.
Once the car was out of the way, the truck returned to the Anaheim end and drove up Orange and pulled into our parking lot.
In the parking lot in Los Angeles, the truck driver opened the door of the car and was shocked by what he saw inside and what his friend had left in the car before driving away.
I think it was some friends of mine who were coming down from San Francisco and that they may have found a ride here, and they drove off without me.
I don't think they were going to Los Angeles because they were not wearing boots. The clothes that they had on was kind of dirty and I thought I would have an accident somewhere.
I don't even know the people who were supposed to pick me up and it's a shame, too because they probably had no money and need a place to stay and a place to crash," explained the driver.
